Lu Yang, born in Wuhan in February 1989, is an artist and designer currently residing in his hometown. He holds a teaching position at the School of Fine Arts, Central China Normal University, specializing in Environmental Design. His creative repertoire spans spatial design, art installations, and graphic design, establishing him as an experimental artist versed in diverse media.

From his unique professional lens, Lu Yang engages with urban development phenomena and challenges, translating them into tangible expressions through a myriad of materials and new media. Weightlessness Art Installation by yang Lu Weightlessness is an immersive video installation that explores the feeling of being lost in the city. The main structure is built from scaffolding, with simulated plants placed in the gaps to recreate a miniature urban landscape. Aerial footage of high-rise residential buildings, recorded by drones, is projected inside to give the audience a sense of falling. The sound combines mechanical noise with a faint heartbeat. Visitors move freely through the internal and external spaces. The installation reflects on the effect of rapid urban development on the environment and people.
